Music Midtown is this weekend. For those of you who don't know, it's a 3 day music festival in a bunch of parking lots between midtown and downtown. A ticket is $75, and add to that the Ticketmaster fee, plus some unavoidable amount of food and water. After all, if I go I will be there for many hours each day, and I'm bound to get hungry or thirsty. There's not much choice but to pay the exorbitant rates for whatever I need. I figure the whole weekend would come to about $150. There's only one band playing that I REALLY want to see, The White Stripes. There are several others I'd like to see, like Tom Petty, but there are fews blues-rock guitarists, which has always been my favorite genre for this festival. Anyone have thoughts they would like to share?

Music Midtown rocks! I've only been once (year before last). I loved the bands we saw, but it rained. And then it poured last year, so I'm thankful I didn't spend the money on a ticket. And I hear it's supposed to rain again this year...not sure I'll go either, although there are some really cool bands playing as usual.
