If Hillary Clinton is being honest in her move towards the center of the political spectrum, if she's going to stick with it, drop her former very far left socialistic ideals, and really be a centrist, then I could almost stomach her. She's got to be better than the unrepentent left wing of the Dems, people like Howard Dean and Ted Kennedy, who are so far out of tune with the average American that they might as well be aliens.

If Howard Dean is so out of tune with the average American, and moveon is as crazy as you say, then how did they receive as much support as they did? I see someone as Pat Buchanan as out of tune with most Americans. He's a very conservative, religious right wing guy whom you'd think would be just the sort of guy to get elected in today's red state dominated political climate. But he's too extreme even for this group, and would have no chance at all of rising to power. I'm not saying Dean is hugely popular, but he's certainly mainstream enough not to be some outer fringe wacko like Pat. He's certainly got at least as much clout as Perot did in his heyday, and Perot definitely had Democrats and Republicans worried.
Jesus Dave. Buchanan is a bum. You won't get me to defend him. I also don't like Sean Hannity, BIll O'Reilly, and several other prominent figures on the right. I've certainly never seen you show anything but love for anyone on the left, though.
If Dean and Moveon.org are so popular, Dave, then why are donations to the DNC WAY down this year? Why are people like Harry Reid trying to distance themselves from Dean and Moveon.org? Why did they lose the election? Why is there a lot of talk about removing him from the chairmanship? Why is it that you won't respond to to what I said about Dean, you just change the subject to Pat Buchanan?
If Dean is so great for the mainstream, then calling people who voted for Bush brain-dead sent him far to the left. People like him do not excite the center, Dave, they annoy and drive off the center.
